Yesterday, Jana ran a half-marathon in Sedona. That’s over 13 miles, for those of you counting from home! We went up the night before with our girls, and stayed at a hotel with Jana’s brother Spencer, his wife Stephanie, and their daughter Bailey. Steph and Jana both ran the race, while Spencer and I watched the kids. Jana wants me to run it with her next year. I’ll need to get back in shape first.
I have been working my new job at Phelps Dodge for almost 4 weeks now. It’s been a good change for me. I’ll write more about that later.
I’ve tried to post a couple family pictures taken after Grandma Kay’s funeral last month. We’ll see how those turn out – I may have to talk with Brian to actually find out how to get them on the site. Fun with multimedia!
Update: I just learned how to post pictures. Here’s a family photo taken after Grandma Kay’s funeral.
Our girls are growing up quickly. We bought them some bunk beds a couple weeks ago, and they’ve adjusted pretty well. Eliza is in the top bunk. She was very excited when we bought the beds, then a bit nervous at how high she was. Now she’s settled in nicely and sleeps well up there. (We have a guard rail so she’s safe). Anna has been more challenged in adjusting. I think most of that is due to her newfound freedom. She went from sleeping in a crib (actually a Pack-n-Play) to being in a bed, so now she can get out of bed by herself for the first time. She’s coming around though. And she sure is fun in the meantime.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all our loved ones out there!
